BREWERY DESCRIPTION:
Lambic beers are famous for wild fermentation. Instead of adding a special yeast, some brewers in leave the unfermented beer open to the elements. Wild strains of yeast and other microorganisms will then seed the liquid. The wort is pumped into old oak barrels where the fermentation can start. The spontaneous fermentation by altogether some eighty-six different microorganisms, followed by the maturation in oak barrels, gives the beer its unique taste and flavor. Kriek is fermented with 70 kg of Scarenbecca (wild Belgian sour cherries) per 600L barrel. After blending, it's bottled, corked and stored in the cellar for secondary fermentation for over one year. After the blending, the kriek is bottled, unfiltered and unpasteurized, and bottle conditioned in the cellar for over one year.

There is an additional fee of $6.00 per shipment to cover the Adult Signature Service included in your shipping quote. This fee is imposed by FedEx.
Adult Shipping for any items containing alcohol including beer, wine, cider, and liquor-filled chocolates, requires an Adult Signature on delivery. The delivery driver cannot deliver to a person that is intoxicated, and no signature release, driver release, or indirect delivery allowed. You can opt to have your order shipped to a business, work, or even to a FedEx Station to be held for pickup. Please keep in mind that if an order is returned to us as undelivered because of non-signature, we will have to get payment to re-ship. Please see our current list of states we ship to. Our web cart will also notify you during checkout if you try to order beer or wine for delivery to a state that does not allow it by only showing "In Store pickup".
