CIDERY DESCRIPTION:
AROMA & FLAVOR: An earthy, amber-colored cider with an aroma of warm bread and sweet apple. Offers a rustic taste of the ripe orchard and hearty homestead cider tradition. Nutty with a sharp acidity that balances a gentle tannic finish. Unfiltered lees lend body to this cider.
CIDERMAKER NOTES: Over the years we have formed many friendly and fruitful relationships with neighbors and local orchardists who help supply locally grown apples for this classic country cider. We press and ferment this medley and slightly sweeten to balance acidity and tannins. We conduct a number of different ferments with different yeast strains to harvest subtleties from each and combine together for a cloudy yet clean farmhouse cider. Sweetened with organic cane sugar. This cider is lightly filtered to maintain rustic character and earthy finish. Lightly carbonated. Contains no gluten ingredients. Ten cents for every bottle goes to the Community Wellness Project - dedicated to cultivating the health and wellbeing of our students and families.
INGREDIENTS: Homestead harvested fruit that our Olympic Peninsula neighbors brought to the farm, including over 50 apple varieties! This blend includes: a variety of WA organic dessert apples (Granny Smith, Pink Lady); traditional bittersharps; and heirloom culinary apples, including: Wolf River, Bramley’s Seedling, Tom Putt, Valentine, Cox Orange Pippin, Melrose, Macoun, Dayton, Hudson’s Golden Gem, and many other unidentified varieties. Includes a growing percentage of Finnriver’s ‘estate’ organically grown orchard fruit.
SUGGESTED PARINGS:
After chilling, allow cider to warm slightly and serve. A Belgian-style tulip glass is a lovely vessel for cider. Enjoy a glass with a plate of sliced apple and hunks of aged, tangy cheese.
Alcohol Information
You must be 21 to purchase any product that contains alcohol, including beer, wine, and some chocolates. Delivery must accepted by an adult age 21+. All beer or wine shipments are sent via Federal Express with an adult signature sticker required on the box. Packages will not be left without signature at any residence or business. Marina Market personnel may contact you by telephone to confirm your order and age. There is an additional fee of $6.00 per shipment to cover the Adult Signature Service included in your shipping quote. This fee is imposed by FedEx.
Adult Shipping for any items containing alcohol including beer, wine, cider, and liquor-filled chocolates, requires an Adult Signature on delivery. The delivery driver cannot deliver to a person that is intoxicated, and no signature release, driver release, or indirect delivery allowed. You can opt to have your order shipped to a business, work, or even to a FedEx Station to be held for pickup. Please keep in mind that if an order is returned to us as undelivered because of non-signature, we will have to get payment to re-ship. Please see our current list of states we ship to. Our web cart will also notify you during checkout if you try to order beer or wine for delivery to a state that does not allow it by only showing "In Store pickup".
