BREWERY DESCRIPTION:
To produce SpontanBasil, fresh whole basil leaves are added to a batch of one-to-two year old lambic that has been aged on oak. The beautiful flavor and aroma of fresh basil marry perfectly with the sour, tart flavors of lambic. After racking and filling bottles, SpontanBasil gains natural, soft carbonation via bottle-conditiong: the yeast produces CO2 in the corked bottle. SpontanBasil shows a golden color with a hint of green hightlights. The body is fairly light; entry and finish are a delightful marriage of real lambic complexity - appetizing sourness - with a beautifully aromatic, delightful, fresh aroma found in kitchens around the world, from Italy to Thailand: fresh basil.

SUGGESTED PAIRINGS:
Pasta with pesto, or other Italian dishes made with basil; dishes featuring tomatoes (a classic basil pairing); goat cheese; rich cream soup. SpontanBasil is an ideal aperitif served alone before a meal, too.

Alcohol Information
You must be 21 to purchase any product that contains alcohol, including beer, wine, and some chocolates. Delivery must accepted by an adult age 21+. All beer or wine shipments are sent via Federal Express with an adult signature sticker required on the box. Packages will not be left without signature at any residence or business. Marina Market personnel may contact you by telephone to confirm your order and age. There is an additional fee of $6.00 per shipment to cover the Adult Signature Service included in your shipping quote. This fee is imposed by FedEx.
Adult Shipping for any items containing alcohol including beer, wine, cider, and liquor-filled chocolates, requires an Adult Signature on delivery. The delivery driver cannot deliver to a person that is intoxicated, and no signature release, driver release, or indirect delivery allowed. You can opt to have your order shipped to a business, work, or even to a FedEx Station to be held for pickup. Please keep in mind that if an order is returned to us as undelivered because of non-signature, we will have to get payment to re-ship. Please see our current list of states we ship to. Our web cart will also notify you during checkout if you try to order beer or wine for delivery to a state that does not allow it by only showing "In Store pickup".
