BREWERY DESCRIPTION:
Straffe Hendrik is a Bitter Tripel Ale. The beer was originally from Bruges and brewed in Bruges by brewery De Halve Maan. In 1981, Henri Maes and his daughter Véronique created a strong blond beer for the inauguration of the statue of Sint-Arnoldus, the saint of brewers. It was given the name of Straffe Hendrik (Strong Henri), since it was a rich and strong beer. The aroma is spicy with hints of black pepper, coriander and ginger with a hint of oranges. The palate initiates a hint of caramel, soon flowing into a certain bitterness. In the finish one can discover citrus fruits and even subtle flavours of banana.

Adult Shipping for any items containing alcohol including beer, wine, cider, and liquor-filled chocolates, requires an Adult Signature on delivery. The delivery driver cannot deliver to a person that is intoxicated, and no signature release, driver release, or indirect delivery allowed. You can opt to have your order shipped to a business, work, or even to a FedEx Station to be held for pickup. Please keep in mind that if an order is returned to us as undelivered because of non-signature, we will have to get payment to re-ship. Please see our current list of states we ship to. Our web cart will also notify you during checkout if you try to order beer or wine for delivery to a state that does not allow it by only showing "In Store pickup".
