Description
JB BUSSINK BREAKFAST CAKE
This gingerbread is still baked according to a traditional recipe that dates back to 1910. A sturdy type of biscuit that also tastes delicious as a lunch or snack. Where the name gingerbread comes from is not entirely known. After all, it is also often eaten as a snack. One explanation could be that the term breakfast, which literally means "starting eating" has been corrupted over time to "morning meal". Gingerbread is often recommended for people who have difficulty with a whole-wheat sandwich to start the day!
