NORWEGIAN BRAND NORA MAKES SURKAL (CABBAGE) IN A BOIL N' BAG. Nora's Sauerkraut and Red cabbage Nora's Sauerkraut and Red cabbage is made from the best ingredients and has been the people's favorite for more than 50 years. Sauerkraut is an old European traditions which go back to the 1700s and is particularly common in northern Europe. In Norway we associate sauerkraut primarily with rib dinner on Christmas Eve, which for many is one of the year's biggest party dinners. Approx. 80 percent of Norwegians sauerkraut consumption occurs in the last three months of the year. Nora Sauerkraut and Nora Red cabbage are also good as an accompaniment to ham steaks, chops and other traditional dinners!
INGREDIENTS:
Shredded cabbage 67% in a brine of water, sugar, vinegar, salt, caraway, spices, preservative (sodium benzoate), thickener (guar kernel flour).
DIRECTIONS:
Simply drop the bag into a pot of boiled water, take off the heat and let warm through (5 minutes). Served as a side dish. Store in a cool dry place.
