VERSTEGEN RUNDVLEES SPICES FOR BEEF DISHES
There are many kinds of meat. And as many varieties as there are, so many flavors there are. And that is why we at Verstegen have developed a mix for every type of meat that gives your piece of meat a delicious taste. Whether it's your steak, bacon or beef!
INGREDIENTS:
75% salt, spices (coriander, pepper, ginger, mace, cloves, cardamom, chilies), bay leaf.
DIRECTIONS:
Preparation method (for 4 people): cut 800 g of beef (ribs) or shank steaks into coarse pieces, if necessary, and season with approx. 1 tbsp (16 g) of the Verstegen mix, let it soak for a while. Heat a frying pan with 4 tbsp (sunflower) oil and fry the meat briefly over high heat until brown on all sides. Lower the heat and extinguish with approx. 300 ml of water. Let the meat stew on a low heat for about 2-3 hours with the lid on the pan. Add extra water if necessary while stewing. Turn the meat occasionally.
Store in a cool dry place.
